1. Introduction

Sports Caddy, published by Zweeler ("we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Sports Caddy mobile application ("App") collects, how we use that information, and the choices you have.

2. Data Collection

Sports Caddy keeps data collection to a minimum. We do not collect, store, or share traditional personal identifiers such as your real name, email address, street address, or phone number.

When you use the App, the following information is collected and processed:

• Nickname: When you create or join a game, you are asked to provide a nickname (up to 10 characters). This nickname is stored on our servers and is used to identify you within game sessions. Your nickname is visible to other players in the same game room and may be included in game invitations you send to friends.
• Device ID: The App collects a unique device identifier using your device's system-provided unique ID. This device ID is stored on our servers and is used to:
  • Identify you when you join or rejoin games
  • Associate your game history with your device
  • Retrieve games you have created or joined
  • Prevent duplicate entries in game sessions
• Game data: Draft selections, scoring updates, and other gameplay inputs you submit are stored on our servers so that your private game room can function correctly and maintain game state.
• Connection metadata: Basic technical details such as session identifiers and timestamps are generated when the App communicates with our servers. This metadata is used to keep connections reliable and diagnose technical issues.
• Local storage: Gameplay preferences and settings are cached on your device using local storage so you can resume quickly. This information remains on your device unless you choose to share it (for instance, by sending a game code to friends).

We do not use the Google advertising ID (GAID) or any comparable advertising identifier. We do not track users across apps or websites for advertising purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

The App does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Data is exchanged only with Sports Caddy's own backend services to provide real-time scoring and other core functionality.

4. Data Storage and Retention

The data we collect (nickname, device ID, game data) is stored on our servers to provide the App's core functionality. Game data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the game experience. You can stop using the App at any time, but note that game data associated with your device ID may remain on our servers.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards—such as encrypted transport via HTTPS and secure WebSockets—to protect the data transmitted between your device and our servers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your data.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this document. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via our website. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
